3 GIAC cars break into 11's on pump gas and minimal mods

Great night at the ‪Sydney Dragway‬ for all pump gas ‪GIAC tuned‬ ‪‎GolfR ‬and ‪S3‬ cars last Wednesday. Three full weight cars went running street tires, OEM intercoolers, and pump gas... and all three broke into the 11s with trap speeds around 115mph. Congratulations to Arthur, Ross and Sam on some great runs. Details and slips below...






Car #39 is a 2016 Golf R, owned by Arthur of ‪‎Exoticars‬ in Sydney. With just an intake, downpipe, OEM catback, 19 inch wheels, ‪‎GIAC‬ stage 2 engine flash, and GIAC DSG flash, Arthur's best run was 11.986 seconds at 115.11 mph.


Car #100 is an 2016 S3 owned by Ross a customer of Exoticars. His car is equipped with an intake, turbo back exhaust, 19 inch wheels GIAC stage 2 engine flash and GIAC DSG flash. Ross's best run was 11.894 at 115.24.


Car #64 is a 2015 Golf R owned by Sam a customer of Exoticars. He has just an intake, OEM 17 inch wheels, and down pipe along with the‪ ‎GIAC stage 2‬ engine flash and ‪GIAC DSG‬ flash. Sam's best time was 11.899 at 114.78.

Eh it depends on many factors.

yes, it does seem faster cause of the turbo, the supercharger smooths out the power, until you hit the track. Going from a B5 S4 Stage III to even now, the B5 seemed faster then my B8 S4.

After being conservative with the B8, due to the price tag initially, went APR, but I think I will be going back to GIAC, when the RS3 is officially ready

I am hoping to break into the 11's here pretty soon. Have more performance mods and hoping for 11.7 or 11.8 At the very least break the 12 second barrier....if the hot weather in PHX decides to stay away for a bit longer.

Eh it depends on many factors.

seeing only 4 B8 S4 with 93 in the 11's and by the fastest guys makes me think the s3 is a bit faster on 91 and 93, and your average guy can get into the 11s easier.
