Group Purchase:
This group purchase will be for the A4, S4 Post-Facelift LED Sedan Taillight Packages and A4, S4, Allroad Post-Facelift LED Avant Taillight Packages. These include the taillights, needed wiring equipment (this varies by application) and installation instructions including all needed coding. Note that a genuine VCDS Hex-Can cable is required for the coding, generic diagnostic cables and/or software will not work properly.

Since base pricing varies based on region, current taillights and other options here is a breakdown of exact pricing per year, model and region:

Participants can also add in the Semi-Dynamic Turn Signal modules which give a two step effect to the orange Rest of World turn signal:

Semi-Dynamic Turn Signal Modules:
The semi-dynamic turn signal modules are a separate item that will work with these post-facelift taillight packages and are an add-on item to participation at this purchase price. These produce a semi-sweeping two step effect on the turn signal.

Shipping:
The group purchase will stay open to participation through the next week. The total delivery time will depend on the total participant count, but as an average delivery time this will be approximately 2 weeks to this location after the purchase closes and payments are received. Taillights will be prepared here for each application and then shipped to each customer individually. Customers within the US will receive items via UPS and customers outside of the US will receive USPS Priority shipping. Semi-dynamic modules will be built to order and ship separately to each customer via Priority Airmail from Europe directly.

Shipping is an additional cost which will be calculated for those who email or PM to participate in the purchase. Expect $40-55 for lower 48 state shipping and higher shipping for those out of this region. Customs/duty may apply to those OUTSIDE of North America and is the buyer's responsibility.

Instructions are quite a few PDF files and vary based on the exact application. I can run through the short and curly for everyone:

2008-2012 Avant - Outer taillight plugs are replaced, one wire per side is run to BCM2 module and placed into existing plug at module. Inner taillight also has a plug which replaces factory plug, then a small adapter harness is used to plug into new taillight. If the fog light function is kept then one wire from each taillight is run up to the right hinge, down to the BCM2 and placed into existing plugs at module. With the fog light capable kits there is a small splitter included that is also installed so there are enough outputs to control all of the functions. Instructions are included to remove taillights, trim pieces, run wires, code, etc.

2013-2016 Avant - Outer and inner plugs are supplied and replaced at the taillight. No wiring to the BCM2 is required. Instructions are included to remove taillights, swap plugs and code.

2013-2016 Sedan - Outer taillights are designed to plug in. Inner taillights plugs are replaced and one wire per side is run to the BCM2 through the right hinge and placed into existing plugs are module. Instructions are included to remove taillights, trim pieces, run wires and code.

Semi-Dynamic Modules (All Models converted to RoW Taillights) - Just plug into outer taillight wiring between car and taillight, voila!

Well the discrete orange turn signals are for safety. So as a stay at home mom she would want your kid(s) in a safer vehicle and her husband is going to make it to work and back home safely because of those new taillights. It's piece of mind for her, right?

As for the differences, the pre-facelift LED taillights are a different style and have singular LEDs vs. the smooth "ghost" LED taillight of the post-facelift taillights.

The purchase includes packages for pre-facelift bulb or LED to convert to the post-facelift LED.

On post-facelift avant models in North America the taillights can be coded to behave like Rest of World lights. The upper turn signal is obviously red instead of orange. Then the semi-dynamic turn signal modules can be fitted as well.

Post-facelift Avant models only. Post-facelift sedans unfortunately have an inner taillight where the brake and turn signal LED's are physically connected internally in the taillight so they cannot be split with coding like avant models.
