Plastidip front chrome moldings. Pain in the ass but second try success

Took a total time about 2 hours and now just drying. Tried yesterday but failed since I put the tape too close to the trim. Second try was much better results. Put on 4 coats of Plastidip and 3 coats of Plastidip Glossifier on the grill area only not fog trimmings to match the gloss on the grill. Sorry the outcome photo a bit blurry

Looks good. Nice thing about Plasti-dip is that you can peel it off if you make an error.

Look good, yea I also learned the hard way you have to lay your tape about 6 inches away from what you are actually spraying and just peel it up and use a razor to get off the extra.

Definite improvement to the fog covers. Any close up shots of the finish?

I still have to rub off the overspray but you can see quality. Pretty good. Some advice. Try to work in a none debris / windy area when wet.

    Both look really good/smooth.

Why did you decide to go with plasti-dip for the fogs? Do you plan of peeling the dip off in the future? Just wondering because it is a complex shape.

FYI, I dipped my fogs, but subsequently peeled and painted.

    Looks good!

I've heard good things about AutoDip. Its vinyl based, so glossy by nature and supposedly easier to deal with. I have no direct experience other than with dip.
