Beware of Hydros Auto Spa in Long Island City!!

Brought my B8 S4 to Hydros Auto Spa on 38th St. in LIC because it had decent reviews to get tints and the chrome window molding wrapped in black vinyl. The installer did a terrible on the tints, there are bubbles and dust behind the film on every window. Even worse, when he was wrapping the chrome molding he cut into my paint with a razor blade on my doors in 5 different locations!! He also burned and melted the rubber molding on the quarter window with the heat gun. I showed the owner and he agreed to have the areas painted by some sketchy body shop next door. I refused to take it there and insisted on taking it to my body shop.

After all that, It took me 6 weeks to finally collect the money from the owner and then he refused to give me a refund for the tints which were horribly installed. I now have to take the owner to Small Claims Court to get my refund. Overall just an absolutely terrible experience from beginning to end. $350 worth of work and they caused $1300 worth of damage to my car. Look elsewhere!

I had my window trim wrapped there. I initially didnt see the cuts in my paint but i have them as well. The heat gun issue i didnt run into. My cuts dont look too deep and im thinking i can get mine out with my flex.

I actually had to bring my car back because when they initially wrapped the trim is looked like complete shit. So obviously there is some serious quality control issues going on there.

I have a great tint shop in brooklyn and depending on where you file it, can help out with the SC issue as well.

Thanks guys. Yeah it's a real shame when business owners don't do the right thing. Now I'm just an upset and unsatisfied customer warning the rest of the community. Don't they understand that everything is online now?

Hey Danny, yeah decided to keep it. I work in Queens right down the street from this place so it was convenient to drop it off while I was at work. Sucks man, hopefully I'm able to recover the rest of the damages.
