Just got a letter in the mail saying my car's (2011 2.0t Premium Plus) affected but there's no repair campaign in place to replace it yet.

Wonder what they'll say when they see I've replaced my steering wheel/airbag with a B8.5 sport one...

not necessarily Takata Related but.... has anyone else seen this or received a letter regarding side airbags?

"Audi also is recalling 2011-2017 Q5 SUVs because the sunroof drainage system can allow water to soak into the foam surrounding the side air bag inflators. If that happens, the inflator could rupture and spew metal fragments into the vehicle. The recall affects 234,054 vehicles."

Found it on a random AP article on Yahoo!

I just found out about the Takata airbag recall from NHTSA online VIN lookup. I have a second hand B6 A4 that I never had to go to the dealer and haven't received a letter from Audi about the recall. I called dealer in Des Moines, Iowa and they asked me to wait on the letter that Audi may send using my address information with the Department of transportation and that they don't have a replacement part yet. Should I drop by to the dealer to ensure my place in the recall? Has anyone received a follow up letter from Audi?
