Thoughts on parting out stage 1 B7

Well, I have finally made the decision to let go of my 05.5 stage 1. I have been wrestling with this decision for a long time, and it pains me to do so, but I believe it is time for me to get out of this platform. It is an absolutely beautiful car, it just hasn't ran like it looks, unfortunately. I would sell the car whole to someone who is more familiar with the inner workings of these cars. A quick list of parts include Jhm stage 1 supercharger system, Jhm upgraded heads, long tube headers, fi cat-back, intake manifold, stage 4 lwfw/clutch, short shifter, dtm body, and basically all mounts and sway bars. The only thing that hasn't been upgraded on the car is the brakes. I've dealt with oil consumption issues from the time I've got the car, I believe there is some cylinder scoring. the car had a new a/c compressor installed, but still doesn't blow any cold air, and I believe the pressure plate on the clutch needs to be replaced, as I have dealt with the clutch sticking when pushing the car over 5k rpms...so my basic question is going to be what is your guys' personal opinions, would you part the car out, or sell it as a whole to someone who could revive it? Thanks

Also, the timing service was done about 5,000 miles ago.

The culprit to the clutch sticking is the stage 4 clutch's RS4 pressure plate. To solve that problem, you'll need to go to a JHM 1R/3R/5R clutch which has no SAC or an equivalent type clutch.

I don't see how parting out a running/driving car makes any sense. Even if you made your money back, you have your time and stress with dealing with the parts, shipping, customers, etc.

Did JHM do all the work? What is their solution to these problems? If not, have you had a good shop check the car out? For sure any buyer will want to know if it really does have cylinder scoring or not.

The clutch and A/C problems don't scare me any, personally.

Got any photos of this car?? How's the power output with all the upgrades?

looks like the car already has most everything on it. How much oil has it been going through?

also, this isn't by chance madison's old car (member mbgt72), is it?

Thanks axel, I figured it was the pp, it's just more $$ spent on the car. It is Madison's old car, he sent it in to Jhm before I bought it where they installed the heads, did the timing service, and put in a new Ac compressor...Ac didn't work from day one, living in Minnesota, I didn't get the car until mid October and didn't use the Ac until the next spring, so I was sol as far as getting reimbursed for the work needed to be done. I know for a fact there was some slight scoring on cylinder 1, as they informed me and wanted to build the motor, but I didn't have 20k more to dump into the car at the time. The pressure plate issue is also very disappointing, because like I said, the car came from the Jhm shop, so it would have been nice to be made aware of it. The car is going to be tested and checked out this coming Monday, so I will have more info at that point, just trying to get opinions at this point. I would rather not have to part the car out, but I also want to try and get a fair number for the car whole, because there is a lot of money in the thing. Thanks for all the input so far guys...

Also, sniper, it goes through about a quart every 3-350 miles, but I don't do much extended highway driving with it, usually just to warm things up. I run motul in it, and I've had the best luck with that oil so far, tried a simple pvc change, didn't seem to help much, though...

Assuming you bought the car in 2012 or earlier, they didn't know about it then.
