Im looking for a set of used front RS4 oem rotors with a little bit of life left to them for some experimenting purposes. I dont care if they need spun(machined) as long as they are still in spec with a little room left. I dont want to destroy my new ones. I also have a set of jhm front rotors ( no hats) that i would be willing to trade for them. The jhms have been machined down a few times to try and correct the pulsating but im being told that if you cut them once more and put hawk sp pads on them they will be fine. I just got frustrated and bought new so im not gonna mess with them. For the record jhm was very helpful and made things right. Im just not into how pad sensitive their rotors are.

I have no rotors to trade you, but I did have a similar issue with pad deposits. JHM recommended re-bedding them in which worked well for me. I assume that if you talked with them and they made it right that you have already done this.

Also, you should post up in one of the rotor threads about this as there are many people that believe these rotor issues are completely made up. That said, im happy with my JHM rotors for the price.

I honed them, machined them, spun them, and re-bed them 3 times. It comes down to 1 of 2 things..... They are off balance which Im being told is very rare, or the pads Im using will not bond with them properly. either way, Jake made it right even after I unloaded on him at the height of my frustration and didnt hold back in my emails ( the kind I had to apologize the next day for). I may someday if I dont trade them, cut them once more and try hawk pads but I was at the end of my rope and just ordered new ones at the time. I hear ya about the people who dont believe these problems exist. I just dont feel like stirring the pot about it anymore considering Jake took care of the issue and there is tons of stuff out there already about the matter. As long as they stand behind their products I will continue to purchase other things from them. Jake also mentioned they were working on a disclosure to post on the rotor page about what pads to use to help people avoid the headaches that some of us went through with the rotors.

There is a set of used Hawk race pads on Panjo for cheap that you can try.
