2016 S6 Sport Exhaust - Bend/Dent in Right Exhaust Piping

Hi everyone I am trying to figure something out. Today I was installing the entire vehicle mount insert kit trans/diff/carrier and I found this looking at the exhaust from the rear. Appears to be a bend / dent in the right exhaust piping. Can anyone confirm on their sport exhaust if this if from the factory or is in fact some sort of damage? If anyone would be willing to have a quick look under their 2016 S6 with Sport Package I would appreciate it.

It could be for "tuning" a back pressure or simply a index mark used in the manufacturing process. I remember the early C7's had the same indentation.

Yeah, both of my s6s have/had it. Not sure what purpose it serves but it always annoyed me knowing it was there.

Arguing with an engineer is a lot like wrestling with a pig... After a couple hours you realize the pig likes it.
