Roc euro is by far the best one available

+1 for Roc Euro. Injen is the cheaper option. But I love my Roc Euro

The stock box is the closest thing to a cold air intake but if you're looking for an aftermarket intake, tell us what you're looking for.

Are you looking for aesthetics? If so the AWE has a beautiful carbon fiber option.

Are you after supercharger whine? If so, the AWE will not be the best choice but an open intake design will. USP motorsport sells one for the A6 but the heat shield supposedly won't fit right (its designed for the S4).

Injen makes one for the A6 that is somewhat similar to the design of the AWE although it uses the factory airbox instead of a carbon fiber one. You can ditch the factory airbox too and run it completely open too or you can modify the stock airbox to be kind of hybrid like I did.

For performance differences, I tested two different open air intake designs (a 3" and 3.5") and the differences were negligible.

I'm looking for the supercharger whine plus a little added power I know I will not get much but something worth the money

Mike did you try the roc euro? Just curious how it compares to others- since I used to read through a lot of your posts on the S4 forum and appreciated the knowledge.

I'd buy the Injen again. I like the design and if you want more whine out of it you can run it without the stock box in place. If you want the heat shield (although testing shows it makes no difference) you can get a used stock box and modify it buy cutting some holes in it and you'll get the best of both worlds...a heat shield in the form of the stock box and loud SC whine from the holes in the stock box.

mine is butchered a bit but you get the idea...

I just installed the AWE S-Flo last weekend. I was looking for a bump in supercharger whine primarily, aesthetics second, with any performance increase just icing on the cake. I believe I got all three.

Oops, i'm sorry I missed this post. Didnt catch it. Hey there. I tried the CTS that I linked above which when it comes to intake tube design and heat shield area is absolutely indentical to the Roc Euro. The only differences are that the CTS has a better attachment method for the heat shield to the frame and it has a better attachment method for the air breather filter. The testing showed no significant difference between that Roc Euro/CTS design when compared to the Injen even though the Injen uses the larger tube. I could run the test again on this car once I go dual pulley to see if that much added boost makes a difference between the 2 designs but at the stock and stage 1 level it didnt.

I offered $185 for the polished Injen intake and it was accepted. I started with $170 which was declined. Two units remain.

There's another seller with a BIN of $199 who declined my offer of $175.
