    KW HAS Clicking Noise

    Hi guys,

    I have KW HAS system installed on my S5 and I am getting very annoying clicking noise when turning the steering wheel left or right... even slight movement in the steering wheel creates the noise. What thing I should be looking to check where the noise is coming from? When the car is on jack, the noise disappear...

    How long ago was the kit installed? Mine used to creak and make noise when new. It took over 1k miles to settle - no problems since.

    The kit was installed last summer, but I raised the car in winter and the noise started but I lowered the car over the weekend and now the noise is so much more with little movement of the steering wheel...

    My guess is that something is off in the way that the spring is seated. Mines been installed for over a year with no problems to date.

    Check the top mount is free to rotate, if it isn't turning then the spring will be moving on the lower spring seat which could make that noise.
    Did they reinstall the washer at the top of the front struts?

    My KW HAS kit has just started making this noise after a year of silent operation, and no changes at all to the suspension setup.

    Be interested to know what the cause was in your case. I suspect top mounts too.
