Flooding damage help

Hi guys, hope somebody here may help me to understand what happened to my car.

Last night a huge thunderstorm came and flooded our street where I was parking. When I realized my A4 b7 2.0 t Quattro was in dange the water was already at the bottom part of the door. When I opened the driver side door I noticed the water was already inside....around 6cm. Front driver seat was moved all the way at front. I tried to start the car to move it into a safe driveway but it looked like the battery was flat....the dashboard was on but starter was just ticking. So with help of my friends I pushed the car on higher point and got most of the water from the car.

This morning I vacuumed rest of the water out and tried to turn the key on and it looked just like flat battery so I connected the battery through jump leads with my friends car and the dashboard was on but the battery was still too weak....so I left my battery connected to friends car to charge it. After a while I tried to start it again but at that point all was dead. Even dashboard did not light up.

Now I disconnected the battery a put it on a charger. Checked all fuses inside of the cabin and they are ok.

Please does anybody know what may happened? Are there any other fuses inside of the engine that could blow out?

Check your ecm under the cowl next to the battery on the drivers side to see if that's flooded as well. It will be 5-t30 torx screws. You'll need to remove the wiper arm to access the two rear screws

Open the ECU cover and check under for fuses & relays

Thank you, that was my next step to check the ecm after rain goes away. The ecm is pretty high, water did not pass bottom part of the doors so I'm pretty confident it has not been impacted. But I did not know whether there were any fuses. I'm more concern about the comfort control unit which is under the front passenger seat. I cannot remove the front seat as it is stacked in the front position so I cannot access front rail bolts (the rear ones are already out).

Great news......I disconnected the comfort control unit, charged the battery, put the batery back to the car and it started. Now I'm facing the problem with the seat in most forward position. I cannot drive the car. Is there any overdrive for the seat?

definitely the comfort control took a hit. shorting out and driving the seat forward , you may even have a burned out seat motor if it kept driving forward ( sounds like that is what killed your battery too. ) you may be able to put your module in a container of rice with it sealed shut for a few days to dry it out but your wiring harness will need cleaning and drying too I imagine.

if you plug it all back in and the seat motor gets hot unplug it as its still driving it forward. I am not sure but see if you can find a seat control fuse.

I found quick temporary solution, I cut two thickest wires of the back/forward motor and connected 12volts battery and the seat moved.....yupeeeee. Now I can remove the seat and take the ccu out and dry it.
