Having a strange issue with my S4 recently. When I put my foot down in second, the car will hit full boost, pull like a train and then fall flat on its face, sometimes triggering the traction control light. No CEL, weird smells/noises etc. Doesn't do it in 3rd/4th/5th etc, just the last couple times I've punched it in 2nd, it stutters under full throttle. Car runs excellent aside from this issue. Anybody had something similar? Is my clutch slipping perhaps?

For reference, car is a full Stage 3 KO4 car, EPL tune/fueling.

You may have a boost leak but if so you would usually notice an issue in all gears. Have you checked for codes? You make have one stored that is not turning on the CEL. Does it do it if your turn ESP off?

I'll have to check what happens with the ESP off.

F4m0u5- You could be onto something with the dirty MAF. It can't be anything too major if there's no flashing/constant CEL
