I wish it was CPO but it is what it is. My questions are:
Is there a VIN decoder to show what options are with this vehicle? I hate talking to dealers. Pretty sure they would have no clue since it's not an Audi dealership.
The VIN number won't tell you anything much about the build configuration of this S4. If possible, have the used car dealer send you a photo of the build sticker which is found in the spare tire well in the trunk. Or, in the first page of the warranty booklet. The latter is easy if they (used car dealer) have it. Once you have the build sticker, decode the VAG build codes using this
VAG decoder or other VAG decoders online.

Before you buy the S4, ask your Audi dealer if they will CPO this particular S4. They will most likely ask for its VIN#. They might want to give it a thorough inspection before they will say yes or no.

Thanks
If you want to find out more about this car's service history, take the VIN# to an Audi dealer and find out if it has gone through the regular service work and any other repair/maintenance work. I believe, if memory serves me right, it should have had its first S-Tronic/DSG Tranny Oil Change back at around 40,000 miles. If not, this is a major expense that you should keep in mind. Knowing its service hisotry will help you plan what other service work will be required if you decide to acquire it.
Otherwise, I cannot think of any known nagging issues with the 3.0L supercharged V6 TFSI engine and S-Tronic Tranny. As long as the former owner drive it well (i.e., not abused) and performed the scheduled maintenance work, it should be good. But, CPO or its eligibility of getting CPO'd is still a desirable buying factor.
