    Pioneer Appradio 4 Install

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Hey guys I'm looking to get this radio for my audi. I am not the smartest when it comes to electronics. I would like some suggestions on what wiring adapter i will need for my car. And what mounting bracket that will work the best.

Would like it to be connected to ignition so it will come on at engine start.

    Little information on my car:
    2003 B6 A4
    No Satellite radio
No steering wheel controls (nor do i want them)

Thanks in advance if any one can shine some light on this.

If you buy from crutchfield they assist you in making sure you have everything you need. They will help with install questions.

Buy an enfig wiring adaptor and be done with it. Mounting plate is up to you. I have a metra unit, but want the enfig kit.

I have a app radio 2 and love it. I have it paired with a Chromecast, so my phone gets mirrored. Can't really beat the setup, especially having Waze in your dash

It should list the app radio 4. I bought the enfig kit for app radio 4 and install could not be easier.

Completely mirrored. I use a nexus 6. AppRadio Unchained is the app that does everything. Its pricy at $30, but totally worth it.

Totally agree. I bought the Metra crap first. The Metra harness deadens the rear speakers; the dash kit is all but permanent...

Bought the Enfig harness, plug and play connector for a Pioneer HU, the antenna adapter and the dash kit. Dash kit was easy. The harness with plug and play wiring means no splicing and I get much better sound from the rear speakers. The way they have it wired, the radio stays on even after shutting off the car until removing the key.

With the antenna adapter, I get much better reception from the radio.

The only drawback I found is that there is a lot of wiring that needs to be stuffed back there.

Oh, and if you get a head unit with DVD, they don't bypass the parking brake interlock, but nor do you have to tap into the brake wire circuit.
