Thinking of buying one pretty cheaply, it is an 04 with 222K miles supposedly starts and works but has that one problem, wanted to ask could it be a good buy? How could I know exactly what the problem is and how much to fix it?

Sadly I think that's a how longs a bit of string question. Things like the suspension bag/struts are a bit of a pain to change, but seem to come up for not too desperate money on EBay. Less likely is an actual pipe fault and the compressors can also be found second hand but are generally fairly reliable. Sensors are fairly easily changed and not the earth to buy. Other electronic faults are far more rare but can be very frustrating to cure.

Is it flat on its haunches or does it just not go up/down within any respectable amount of time? Any chance of a fault code reading before you buy?

So the guy said the air suspension isnt working, suggested going to coilovers will be cheaper, said that it is also leaking anti-freeze, but said otherwise everything else works good, said hes disconnected the battery for a while since it has been sitting, wanks 2k, anything sound fishy?

Why the fuck would anyone buy a luxury car with that many miles on it. It's basically a hanger for replacement parts at that point.

I would guess that depends on your spending budget to start with, and how much you would like to own a certain car. My last Allroad did 340,000 before I got rid of it and had no major expense aside from one suspension airbag at the rear when I towed my 4 ton digger on a trailer with it.
