Why won't my MMI play music?

Hey guys...I picked up a 2016 S3 last week. I have about 400 miles on it and I'm having an issue with my tech pack MMI. Yesterday google earth showed a message saying that there was no data or something and my Bluetooth was disabled. Now today I went for a drive and it would show that my music was playing but there was no sound. I tried shutting it down a few times while driving and still nothing. I sure hope it's just a fluke and not something wrong with my new car. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Not sure how to do a hard reset on your mmi but I would try that first.

I would take it back to the dealer and make them sort it out.

I just looked in the manual and tried it. My MMI is working now. I'll have to keep an eye on it. I wonder if anyone else has had issues with MMI? This is my first Audi.

I picked up a 2016 S3 last weekend, on the day I got it later in the evening the same thing happened to me. No sound from radio, Bluetooth, etc. I could toggle the volume up and down but nothing would play. Restarted the car a couple times and still no change.

I did some research and saw that others have had the problem and for 90% of folks it was a one-time issue that never reoccurred. The same is for me, parked ane came back 30 minutes later to find everything working. Haven't had the problem since. As some have mentioned, doing a hard restart on the MMI is what I found as the most common solution. I didn't do this, and mine just started working again by itself. I'm hoping the same will go for you!

Today it seemed fine after the reset. Off topic, but did any of you receive a lightening cable with your car or just the old style 30 pin?

My car came with both the 30 pin and the Lightning cable.

My MMI did the same thing to me couple times already. I wonder if its some kind of software issue that's causing this hiccup.

Here is the video on how to reset it:

The first time I reset it my car was not running so it never came back on. The issue occurred again on Monday and I did a reset while driving and it's been fine since. Hopefully I don't have issues anymore. Thanks!
