Decided to swap out my clutch and pressure plate. Went back to a 6 puck to see how long it lasts.

Like 2 days on jackstands. Few hours on a lift.

You could do it in a day on j-stands but I'd plan for the weekend.

I'm mostly concerned about removing all the bolts around the trans. I haven't even gotten under there to check it out though. Half of me wants to do it so I can feel the torque without slip, the other half wants to just drive the car even if gently.

Any tips I'll be happy to hear.

It's cake for me now. I could do it in a day (out and back in) but I have no need to "rush" The hardest part in the beginning was getting the bolts that go in from the front, on the bottom of the bell housing. .

Now I have few tricks I know work for me and what I need so it's not bad anymore. No need to remove oil, or ac compressor. Cuts time down and saves a potential mess.

Okay, you guys twisted my arm. I'm just going to dive in. If it takes me two weeks and pushes back driving my car with it's new seats and seat belts and headliner and tires and wheels and flares and RS rack and a couple other secret things then I'm blaming all of you and Dre when you ask for orange seat belts I'm going to send you beige.

If your current clutch is only slipping when u get on it and you feel it's got plenty of life left, maybe leave it until your next wave of mods which is inevitably turbos? At which point it makes more sense for a fresh clutch no? Just in the interest of getting in your car and drivin it, coming from someone who wishes they could do so lol. I'm gonna fly to Chicago, and ride with u to camp allroad and be the camera guy and live vicariously through the allroaders.

Dude, actually you're 1,000% welcome to do that!

I will be doing turbos next winter if all goes well, it will probably last that long if I baby it like I usually do but I'd rather do it at some point this summer so I can do a couple launches and get some real videos and times and FATS before I ditch stage 2+. I don't know if there are many allroad 1/4 times but I'm going to see how close I can get to a full interior record if no one has really gunned for it with an allroad yet.

Well they're heated and tilt and will eventually have power fore and aft with memory. So that's PRETTY dang close, right? Maybe I'll strap down some spare seats in the back lol.
