I read different threads saying you can flash it back, it can't be traced, etc. Have you ran into flashing the car back to stock and taking it back to the dealer without issues? I think that's the main reason why I don't want to [majorly] mod the car, because I don't want issues later, if I need the warranty.
This is my 2nd tuned Audi, waited the first 1500 miles on each to make sure I didn't have any defects from the factory in the engine/trans/turbo. Have had no issues in both so far (knock on wood)
There's tons of threads and a whole procedure on the warranty issue. My dealer has never given me trouble on the visible mods. I have APR software and flash back to stock at my tuning shop before every scheduled service visit @ the dealer. So long as you put ~30-50 miles on the car after going back to stock to reset environmental and other "learned" cached data, and you're only going in for a service visit or minor warranty concern, you shouldn't have anything to worry about. 10 such visits across 2 Audis and never an auto-TD1, search for that to know more. At the end of the day tho, none of that is guaranteed. The S3 isn't my daily, if it has a major failure I'm prepared to pay out of pocket to fix it, can't count on warranty for that anymore. 400HP/TQ in this little car is just so damned fun though :)

Ahoy! Former 4G63 (DSMer) here. Welcome aboard.
There are dozens of us, dozens! Haha, '91 GSX was my intro to the 4G63 and the turbo world. Bought one in 2003 when I turned 17 with all the money I had saved from my first job. Wrenched on that thing CONSTANTLY, it was broken down more than it was alive and I still loved it. It's the car that made me think I wanted to be a mechanic for a short while before getting back into computer science. Ahh, memories!
