    Front Tow Cover Replacement Options

I was thinking of replacing my tow cover with an Ebay one but I have a USP and hoping that won't be an issue. Anyway, wondering if anyone tried this: https://youtu.be/aT-gIRliW2s

As opposed to getting touch up paint and clearcoat.

FYI to everyone... "this" = wrapping the cover with vinyl.

I have successfully used vinyl wrap on interior pieces and people wrap their cars with it. So, yes, it will work. But it will not match your paint job, it will wear differently etc. Also, unless you drive around to businesses selling the stuff and beg for a sample, you will have to buy a larger piece, which does not make it economical. I always have a problem when someone says that something only cost them $5 to fix. Sure, if you have everything else you need for the job (like a heat gun, rubbing alcohol, exacto knife etc.) and you spend $ in gas driving around town looking for the piece vinyl or spend hours on the internet trying to find that $5 piece of vinyl you need.

So, to answer your question: yes, vinyl will work, but I would not choose this option (just my personal taste - nothing wrong with it).

Just a piece of advice for posting a question: try stating what "this" is. Not everyone will want to click on a random link to find out what you're talking about. Yes, I did, but it's usually annoying and probably why you received no response on this.

Okay thanx. So clearcoat and paint would be the best option
