Noise Diagnosis - Timing belt tensioner?

Hey everyone, long time lurker first time poster (didn't have to post until I've had a problem ).

I bought a used 2010 A4 2.0T FWD with 70k miles a few months ago and got the 75k service for piece of mind to ensure everything was working ok and the service showed no issues.

For a little while after the service there has been a deep (as in pitch) rattling when accelerating from a stop that goes away at higher speeds. As the RPMs increase, the rattle increases in tempo. The noise is definitely coming from the engine compartment and not the wheels. The rattle also returns if I apply the throttle at speed.

I couldn't get a good capture of the rattle but the engine has been getting louder at idle over time - this is the engine at idle (http://sendvid.com/hct7e746).

From my research it sounds like the timing chain tensioner is to blame but I want the advice of someone more experienced than myself before I begin a somewhat expensive repair.

    Thanks in advance!
    -Carter

It seems a bit early for a tensioner failure but I guess it's possible. I don't recognize your symptoms but I would take it to a reputable indie that works on these often to have them check it over. Could be something much more benign.

Engine at idle sounds fine to me.

Thanks for your input guys, I'm probably just getting overly paranoid - I'll take your advice and bring it to a shop just to put my mind at ease.
