    Anyone running 235/40 19"s?

I know the most popular 19 tire size on our car is a 235/35 19, but a 235/40 would just be a little taller. The selection of tires are better in the 235/40 as well. I searched, but it seems very few people if any have this size. Most are running the 235/35 or the 245/35. I don't know if I want to go wider, just a little taller for potholes.

Anyone have any thoughts on this? Would I lose some MPG due to taller tires? Less power? It isn't a huge difference, but maybe it is bigger than I think. Thanks.

Never change the diameter of your wheels. If you switch to a tire other than the factory recommended diameter, not only will your speedometer be slightly out, you could potentially do damage to the drivetrain of your car.

You can change the tire sidewall, or rim size.... but never the total diameter of a wheel.

So you are saying all the people running 245/35/19's are wrong? Lots of people running that size on here.

Here is a comparison of wheel sizes and what would happen, but I wanted to know if anyone is running the 235/40 19's out there.
