Curious to see if, anyone knows what the below LCD icon (Steering wheel with an exclamation mark) means on a B5 S4. G85 Steering wheel angle sensor problem or clock spring dead? I have searched the internet and have come up empty. Thanks in advance.

Weird, on newer cars that would have to do with electric power steering. I didn't even know our cars had this. Check the cluster coding, I think something might be off.

I vaguely recall seeing that in a buddy's GTI post-accident fix. I think it's the steering angle sensor. Did you do any work recently that would have affected it?

Tip to 6 speed swap and a bunch of other stuff. Scanned it and I get the G85 steering angle sensor intermittent. Want to make sure before a drop $400+ on a new one.

It means "put your hands back on the steering wheel or else you'll fall out of the ajar door" ;)

They rarely fail so a used one should be good to go. Just make sure it's centered before you
install it otherwise you'll tear the printed ribbon the first time you turn the wheel
