Need new Rims!! - New (well CPO) Audi S4

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Hey Everyone,

I'm the proud new owner of a 2013 Audi S4. Thank you, thank you. I'm also new to this forum. I was looking to make some minor cosmetic changes to the car ever the next 2 years (Grill, wheels, etc) so that I don't void the warranty - then I'll move into the more interesting engine stuff. I wanted to start with my rims, because in the search for the perfect S4, I wasn't able to find one with the 19 inch Audi rims - so i'm stuck with these 18 inchers (this is from another user on this forum, because i havent figured out how to insert pics from my computer yet - but my car is identical)

    http://www.sneakypeteholsters.com/pr...orsche/YEP.jpg

I was looking at some Audi replica rims and wanted to know everyones opinion. I want to keep the ride as close to normal as possible.... but I fell in love (Below). I'm not looking to go the aftermarket route in terms of appearance - I actually have to remove the tints it came with. While I do love the way alot of these cars look, alot of my job involves taking out clients, driving my boss around, etc. So, I want to make changes, but minimal ones, ones that would almost look like Audi upgrades. These are where I was at in terms of choices? Are they going to crack, bend, affect performance, drive, etc? Are these reliable dealers? is ebay a stupid route to take? Any thoughts are welcomed.

That looks awesome man - great choice. Any suggestions on where to get em? Has it affected the ride at all, did you get 18s or 19s? new tires, or fitted? Sorry, I'm new to all of this stuff.

Also, how were you able to post the pic without links?

I ordered them here, paid $795 shipped. Got 19's and replaced the tires with Michelin Pilot Super Sports which cost more than the damn wheels, haha

The wheels are awesome, holding up really well, no chips, scratches, etc I've had them on the car for about 6 months now. I also bought their "install kit" which comes with new lugnuts.

Check the wheel forum if you are looking for used wheels; you can find really good deals if you are not in a rush.

buy alans brand new peelers since he is local and paint them black/gunmetal, seems like a no-brainer compared to buying some chinese knock offs of which the origination and quality is questionable at best...

if you are looking for advice take it from people with knowledge, otherwise buy the ebay wheels you want and cross your fingers.

Again, appreciate the info guys, was specifically tuned into those Black Avant wheels from my original post, not just "any" new audi wheels. If i change my mind, I'll definitely let you know Alan. I'll check out the forum now

I would absolutely not buy no-name reps for $1k ($199 shipping!) from eBay. You can get much better brand-name aftermarket wheels from TireRack for $1k.

OEM wheels are expensive if you want to buy them new, but again, you can find pretty much every Audi wheel ever produced if you keep an eye on the wheel forum.

If you wanted to stay with the OEM+ look i am sure you could find a nice set of used set of 19" peelers on here for a great price within the next few weeks if they aren't any already.

Not to mention you could keep your current 18's as a winter setup. Or sell them to someone else needing one and recover some of that money you spent on the OEM 19" peelers.

You would eventually not come much out of pocket if you sold your current setup to someone as a winter setup. I think the Peelers look great on the S4 especially tastefully lowered on some H&R OE or sport springs.

Dude doesn't want the peelers. He's looking for a specific look / wheel as he said. I didn't like my 19" peelers at all. Sold them on Craigslist with the quickness haha

Did he? I must of missed that, tunnel vision when on mobile lol. I thought he mentioned he couldn't find a model with them. They are surely better than the stock 18"s ones he has now. But a lot of people do change them out.

In a perfect world, the wheel below would have an audi symbol in the middle and wouldn't be a replica. Obviously, I'm worried about buying replicas due to the quality and the effect it would have on the drive/performance of my car. Those wheels are coming from the ECS website, they're Alzor 627's and they're no longer available... but i need them lol. The black is perfect and the silver lining would match the S4 mirrors perfectly. I dont want all black wheels, again I like the OEM look, while just a little extra.

Keep in mind some reps won't have the proper concave like the OEM. They may appear more flat. I believe that is the case with these wheels and surely the 20" RS5 Tri rotor replicas.

Do you like the rotor type wheels found on the black optic package S4's? Someone's selling a OEM set in the classifieds for $1,000. Thry are titanium and silver which will look great on your blue. They will be much higher quality and handle pot holes etc better compared to a rep.

OEM S4 19 inch Rotors, wheels only http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php?t=698040

How they look that's as OEM+ as it gets....

Lastly if you wanted to go "a step up" and go aftermarket not rep so to speak. I always thought the satin silver Avant Garde m510 look great on a deep blue color. Good quality aftermarket wheel for the $1299 they are for 19". But personally those 19" OEM rotor wheels I posted above will give you a nice OEM+ look you want. They are for sale often in the classifieds usually.

Here's a members car from here I found via Google with the AG m510's.
