    Pure Energy Alternator

    Anyone use a PureEnergy alternator? I'm looking at it from rock auto, is it reliable? Part number is 15123n. Bought an alternator 7 months ago and don't want to buy one that'll stop working and have to do the job again. (Made the mistake of buying one from Ebay last time)

    Look around locally for a rebuild place. You can have yours rebuilt for about $150 and a yr warranty

    I would go new OEM. I'm on the original with 170k. Probably just screwed myself by saying that....

    The PO changed the alternator twice on this car and I just recently replaced it again. The one I pulled off was a remanufactured OEM unit... I would buy brand new OEM. Make sure you replace bosch with bosch, valeo with valeo. (the connectors are different)


    If its Valeo, there is actually a new one on ECS for 250! No core required
