We are going to stick with OE parts type replacements for this one vs. performance, but I like your thinking!

I like the idea of stock, I drove mine stock minus a stage I tune from AWE and the car felt faster than my stage III (exhaust not upgraded except for piggies). I'd definitely do a stage I tune and keep it stock. A True sleeper.

Yes, but the idea here is that we want to know what you guys would like to know how to do. i.e. if you had to repair something in specific on your vehicle that you wish you had a step by step article to follow. For example, someone who wishes to tackle doing the front/rear brake pads and rotors and isn't sure how to, but would benefit from having an article that shows the steps and good info about doing the job. If you think of anything that you wish you had directions on showing you how to replace something, let us know. :)

If you can, I'd like to see what the process is to replace the oil and/or coolant lines to the turbos without having to remove the engine. It may not be possible but it's worth a shot to ask.

New Pelican Project Car C5 A6 Quattro!

    Sorry, I had to re-read your original post. Installing a new steering wheel. i.e., a B7 RS4 on a C5.
    2. Removing headliner to replace it (mine and my wife's is sagging)
    3. Upgrade / change Fuel pump
    4. Change fuel filter
    5. How to change front and rear brakes
    6. How to upgrade brake lines to steel braided lines. If metal brake lines are seized, how to splice on a new metal line (dealing with this now)
    7. pics and step by step how to remove the front bumper
    8. remove door cards w/o damaging connectors
    9. removing ABS unit
    10. Replace front & rear wheel bearings
    11. Remove front seat (to fix annoying rocking/movement)
    12. Replace light markers w/LEDs the correct way (sorry, couldn't resist )
    13. How to repair turn signal stalk instead of replacing it. (Stuck on how to unclip the tabs holding it together)

Had the same problem with my 034 tbb. Some people have tried trimming them to fit better but that didn't work for me either. Ended up using a samco tbb and never looked back..

How about replacing the cam chains/tensioners/gaskets? Pretty common to have chain slap on these cars at high mileage.

As a new owner of a 2001 A6 2.7T Quattro with a tip tranny in limp mode, I'd love to see something on the tip diagnostics. Maybe verifying functionality of the range selection switch (F125?) and replacement. Or, if you're up to the challenge, change over to 6MT....

It says it's for the 1.8t but it's also the same pressure regulating valve for the 2.7t. You can always check the part number on your valve and just google it as well. You won't find one listed for the 2.7t because Audi wants you to buy the entire spider hose assembly. Europaparts lists three different sizes, 19mm, 20mm, and 25mm take your pick.

Oh good stuff. What size is closest to the size I need would you say? I do not know what measurement they are referring to.

I guess if you go this route you just use a hose and hose clamp on the y-pipe.

    Good info. Thanks ruiz

The one I have on my S4 is the one I linked to you. It is the same exact size as stock last time I checked. What I did was took the connector piece off the old valve and put it onto the new one; it was kind of a pain but it's doable.
    No problem.
