Yesterday, i was merging (somewhat agressive) into a freeway and my check engine light came on.
No error messages on the dash, no other warning lights, no strange behavior. Car was driving perfectly fine at high speed. Did no loose any power.
I had my OBD adapter in the glove box, so i pulled over and checked the codes. This is what i got:
OBD2 - confirmed:
P0235 - Turbocharger/Supercharger Boost Sensor "A" Circuit
OBD2 - pending:
P0235 - Turbocharger/Supercharger Boost Sensor "A" Circuit
P0068 - MAP/MAF - Throttle Position Correlation
I reset the codes, started the car and drove back home. It was a 120+ mile drive. The check engine light never came back. Car drove fine.
Let me say that i got this same code about 5 months ago, again, on a ramp, merging into a local freeway, under semi-full throttle.
Same deal - erased the code and it did not come back for months, until yesterday.
Car is 2011 S4, DSG, EPL Stage 1 Tune and K&N air filter. Close to 70k miles. Very well maintained.
What could be the reason behind this code? Why does it get triggered under acceleration? Bad sensor acting up? Software bug after the EPL tune?
Any ideas?
Thanks!
