Hello all! I am new to this forum but would like to start by soliciting feedback on a decision I'm facing. I came across a very well maintained 2005 B6 S4 and am considering purchasing it. The car has about 50k miles. It would be my daily commuter (about 40-60 miles a day, mostly highway). Any feedback on this? I really don't want to get something unreliable or that has an extremely high cost of ownership; some of what I've read seems like this car is pretty hit or miss on reliability and if it is miss, it is really costly. Is this an accurate assessment? Any advice that could be offered would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advanced.

Good find, post some pics. It's hard to say, the V8 is strong but with maintenance if you run into issues could be costly but overall will be an awesome pick up

You're considering German relatively high-performance luxury sports sedan. You have to pay in order to play. Good thing you got going for it is low miles. One thing for sure do a proper PPI, before purchasing it. It'll weed off cars with issues, and we all know what is out there considering age of this platform. Do a quick search as this has been covered way to many times and there're quite a few threads which have a lot of usefull info.

Thanks! That is the aspect I'm weighing most, the if factor. Good point about paying to play and thanks for the advice on PPI. That seems to be a must do. We'll see next week!
