Anyone purchase this after the 40k benchmark for 55k, 65k, and 75k services?

Has anyone been able to negotiate off MSRP or is it better to just find an indy shop for those services?

I believe care plus covers 2 service interval now, instead of 3 before.

How timely. Yesterday I went to my dealer to inquire about Audi care. Just turned 50k miles. After looking at the pricing models, it turns out that it is cheaper to pay for the 55k service out of pocket and purchase the audi-care for only 65/75k.
I will wait till I get to 65k before making that decision.

They did change the offerings, 55/65, 65/75...no longer 3 services grouped together.

Pricing is firm according to the service tech. Their cost is less than 100 lower than MSRP for the 65/75 service. I looked at his pricing sheet.

goliath, that's good intel. What did they quote you re: the cost of the 55k? My next service is the 45k (covered) and I'll soon have to decide whether or not to pick up one of the Audi Care Select (what they are now calling the Plus) plans. Isn't the 55k a major service? Is there much of a price difference between the 55/65 vs 65/75?

55k I think is oil and filters and sunroof gutter clean for $532...a little pricey.
65/75 includes tranny flush, plug change for $1099.

But I cannot find anywhere what specifically is done at each service. I only recall what the service tech told me.

Thanks Glacier6 for sharing that. I was looking for that info in the owners manual, but they didn't include any specifics.

In South Africa all New Audi are sold with A 62 500mi or 100 000km Freeway plan, which is comprehensive maintenance plan.
For 5 years or 100 000km you pay for oil top, fuel and tyres. It cost about R25k or $1.6k for 20 000km increments and a further 12 months.
You can extend to maximum for 200 000km or 7 years.

AudiCare scares me a little bit and i always decide to paying out of pocket for the services that i need.

When looking at the 3.0T engine, it is mostly oil change and filters, the rest are just check this and check that which I can do.

Not sure why you would want to lose out on about 7-15% discount on the same services, but I guess that is the price you pay for living in fear.

That is assuming you are taking it to the dealer and not an indy shop.

rayray, I think the 7-15% discount makes getting AudiCare a no-brainer if/if you intend to service the vehicle at an Audi dealership. If you have access to a reliable independent shop that can do the work, then you're likely breaking even or saving even more money going with the independent shop than buying AudiCare and going through the dealer. I'm 4k away from my 45k, so that's the dilemma I now face. I have access to NGP, which is about 30-45mins away from me depending on traffic, or Induktion, at a little over 70mins from me. The local Audi dealership, on the other hand, is about 8 miles from my house. Convenience and loaner go to the dealer, so I'm leaning towards AudiCare Plus but I need to work the math. Really sucks that they changed it from 55-75k.

I'm with you on that. I have compared it all and overall it still comes out better to buy AudiCare. I do hate they changed it up, but owners are no longer out X amount of money if they sell or trade the car (unless you are in CA).

A tune has no effect on getting AudiCare. If you are still under the original or CPO warranty, you risk TD1 with a tune, but that is the assumed risk overall correct!?
