    Abs module coding

So i did the b5 s4 upgrade to my 01 a4. I read around that you may need to recode the abs module when you do this. I have not and my car stops fine but my pad warning indicator has been on ever since. Am i suppose to code the module for s4 calipers and pads.

Also i dont know if its related but wenever i apply the brakes at low sppeds under 5mph to stop it squeals a lot. I have aquabono bads and brembo blank rotors.

What? I've never heard of such a thing.

Did you bed the rotors/pads properly?

I guess its possible to send a different bias from the module to the caliper. I did break the pads in properly and wats weirder is that it only squeals on my first stop.

I have HP2 calipers on my A4 and did no special coding to the ABS. I have no issues with mine and the and the pad warning light isn't on. I think your squealing must be from the pad/rotor combo. The warning light harness goes though the ABS harness and I've found that the wires are quite fragile. Inspect the plugs for failed wires.

Make sure the plug is in all the way on the pad connector. As they get old they tend to break and not seat properly.
