    Painted the Superleggeras:)))

In my attempt to mimic the sunken treasure color using what paints where on hand in the garage, I think I came pretty close, at least in comparison to Internet images.
The primary paint is Honda metallic gold with flake, added black to darken it and magenta to cut down the green tint, and a gloss clear coat, it captures light beautifully.

Have no pics on car properly yet as car is still taken apart for paint work I never shared with you guys. Also getting s4 recaros, interior is gutted so that I could remove rear bumper and headliner to remove the roof rails.

Not to get side tracked, OZ Superleggeras 18x8, I posted photoshop images last fall of them to get an idea. Finally painted and I really like the result.
    Here's a teaser

    Less light angle

Little more light seeing differences in brightness

I like the color combo with a black exterior. Can't wait to see them in the sunlight.

Ha ha, just refinished by USP wheels last weekend and had tossed around sunken treasure but stuck with silver (on black Avant). In for pics once mounted. Not sure how tedious the plastic is to apply but I've always had great success with just sticking in queue cards/recipe cards.

Sunken treasure is my weak spot. Cal's Moro Blue A4 with I believe VMR710's looks awesome. I came close to mimicking the color with plasti dip a few years ago on my stock sport 17's, but this color/hue/shade looks much better on multispoke wheels.

Mounted the tires but did not inflate them, bagged the tires and sealed around the back edge of rim. Paint is thin, took way more than expected to get full coverage.
Mounted tires first to perfect the fresh paint from damage of mounting tires.

I agree, it really brings a new look and life to the flat face of the superleggera. Had these wheels for years and have been getting bored of the fading anthracite color. Was really nervous how they would look this color but I'm in love. Might add a touch more bronze to them yet
