I can't anything about the carbon mirrors but I did order the aluminum s5 covers from them and was very pleased. Came well boxed and fit like a glove. I couldn't find any difference compared to OEM

do these mirror caps fit entirely over existing mirror? or do you have to remove the oem housing and replace it with this?

The listing says direct replacement of oem, not caps. These are also for the larger pre-facelift mirrors.

This is not going to fit your 2016 S5 as suggested in the listing.

Hmm interesting. I was thinking about having my aluminum window trim wrapped after i have the car detailed these would look spiffy.

But i would be scared snapping them on could possibly scratch my OEM S5 aluminum/plasitc mirrors, whatever the hell material they are lol

. They aren't something you can buff out if you scratch them like on the body painted ones i would assume.

These don't "snap on" over your current ones. You have to remove your mirror glass and then the the screws and connectors to remove your entire mirror housing. There is a diy on the Audienthusiasts website.

I have the ECS CF side mirrors on my RS5 and love them. They fit perfect look great. ECS also provides very thorough install instructions. I only had them for a few months now, but they are holding up well and still look brand new.
