    Should I sue?

While driving my A4 through Tahoe, I hit black ice on the way to Reno and lost control of the car. I hit the center divider, but no damage on my car (I seriously thought she was totaled).
Later, while driving through Truckee, the car died on me completely. I was able to shift into gear, but nothing happened when I'd try to accelerate. Just an ugly crunching sound.

I had it towed all the way back to Serramonte Acura, because the warranty stated I could only have it serviced through them. When I got there, I found out the warranty was 6 months OR 6,000 miles. They basically told me to go *** myself because I was a few hundred miles over.

I ended up having it towed to JHM, and those guys have been amazing (I'll give you an update when I get Audrey back).
When I bought the car, it had a clean carfax report, however, I was told it looked like it was in a major accident prior, and someone worked on it but never put it back together.

So basically, it wasn't that I hit black ice and lost control, the car fell apart on me while I was driving.

My question is this; should I pursue legal action against the Acura dealership? My Audi is amazing and I love it, but it's had issues since the day I bought it. I'm not upset with Audi, but I think the Acura dealership should be held responsible for their mistakes.

    Any thoughts?

I'd also like to add, I left the car at the Acura dealership for a couple weeks until I had time to figure out where to take it. They said I could leave it parked at the dealership. On the day I had it towed to JHM , I found a massive dent in the front fender. Someone clearly hit my car while it was parked there.

No, the dealership had an inspection documented.

I had the car serviced shortly after buying it, at the Acura dealership. They said everything was fine, but there's still issues with the car. I think all they did was reset the check engine light.

Me go after carfax? That's about as much of a lost cause as buying the car!

Sounds like ur out of luck unless you have proof the dealer lied to you and knew about previous accident. I doubt they did the work probably took the car on a trade in and flipped it as fast as possible. Carfax is a waste of time.
Always get a ppi done before buying. Never trust a dealer or sellers ppi.
How bad exactly was previous damage/repairs and how new of a car is this?

I agree with tar that is seems you have no substantial proof that the dealer lied to you. Without that it would be difficult to win the case.

i see what your saying. Makes sense.

It just kills me to let this go without some type of fight...all the more reason for me to pay it off and buy an s4😀

Basically, the entire suspension needed to be replaced. My fender was rigged together with super glue and wire, holding it into place. I have even started figuring out what might possibly be wrong with the engine. It's an 07 a4

sometimes the cost/time of a fight isn't worth the gains. your better off paying off, ditching(or track car duty) and getting the s4 if that's what you really want. I personally wouldn't want a car that's been rigged like that body wise and it points to potential neglect in the motor and drivetrain.

Wow, sorry to hear that. If you want any case, as the others have said, you'd have to prove Acura of Serramonte knew of the prior damages and lied to you knowingly. Have you spoke to them regarding the issues that you found? It's a tough sell since you got into an accident and then the damage, to them, "suddenly" appears. For them they can say it's too coincidental and possibly you damaged it and tried to put it together etc etc. They'd do anything to not take responsibility. I'd say going for the S4 is worth it though! The extra horses will always put a smile on your face! And the V8 sound definitely puts the cherry on the top. However, I'd definitely have a prepurchase inspection this time around.. especially since you've been burned before. I didn't since I was on a crunch for time but it seems alright for me so far... I got my fingers crossed.
