Roc Euro certainly looks like the bomb, especially with gold tape wrapped around the stainless tubes.

The short answer is I don't know. However my performance at the track when my car's intake hose separated from the air box was significantly adverse. In that case my car was sucking unrestricted, unfiltered, turbulent air from the engine compartment. When I corrected the problem (wrong air filter) and reconnected the hose to the air box the car ran significantly faster, a full 3 tenths faster in the 1/8 mile in similar DA. I've concluded that the stock intake's ram air effect creates a degree of pressurization which aids engine performance. I'd love to be proven wrong because I think the roc-euro intake looks great.

Hopefully we will have the additional data next week. Of course I will share regardless of the outcome. On pumpgas it seems that yhere is a benefit. But I will validate with the racegas tune and update the community.

I am also reviewing the stock box to see if it takes an improvement. I removed the foam material from inside since it just probably muffled noise, have a kn filter in already and I might cut the plastic flap inside right after the scoop intake which I also think is for noise control.

Next step I will check to see if I can build a ram air scoop like the BMWs right behind the front grill to see if it will help. Bad thing I broke two of the clips that hold the cover and I have to order new ones.

It will be interesting to see if AWE will develop a version 2 box, i.e. with the top cutout for the tuned cars, since if I remember they said that indeed on a tuned car you might have some small losses but on a stock car the car actually gains... which statement might me correct, if we consider that a tuned car boosts almost 10psi more from a stock car and that's just on pumpgas.

Good deal. APR recently announced they bought Carbonio's VAG air intake business so soon we can expect an offering from them. Seems like a sensible acquisition enabling APR to squeeze out more gains.
