just want to get a rough idea on price if i sell it

Don't know the specific price for that model but Pateks are pretty valuable. Just do a eBay search of patek philippe and you'll see. Why not just keep it?

Just kidding on the fake part but after closer inspection it does look kinda funky with the dial rotated relative to the watch lugs. I've never seen that before

Given that it's authentic and in good condition probably a couple grand up. Looks to be stainless but if it's white gold might be $10k+

it does look kind of funky, almost like a franken pocketwatch made into a wrist watch or some variant of the calatrava 565 that I havent seen before. movement seems to be lacking some jewels maybe. how hard was it to take the case back off?

Let's say it is a calatrava 565, depending on a lot of things you could be looking at a range from 10-20k, maybe more.

if authentic, I would keep it. expect it to be in the thousands easily and don't be surprised if its platinum - though likely stainless. No complications, only the small second, no engraving, and basic dial don't indicate a rare piece you'll hit the jackpot with, but it will increase in value over time.

good call - probably a 565 from the 50s.

Hmm I think this is most likely the reason. On the underside of the left wrist would place the 12 at the top position.

This watch is most likely real. Fake watches do not usually engrave on the internals and those internals pictured are not typical of a cheap mechanical. You need to take it to a Patek shop because they are all precisely made and they make them, run them, take them apart then reassemble. You should never have anyone outside a Patek shop open or service this watch. These are some of the most expensive watches in the world.

It looks like a pocket watch movement (crown at 12 o'clock) on a wrist case. Check Patek's site: client services, archives for best info.

Beautiful piece man! I wouldn't let it go if I were you. I don't know much about vintage PP's but this does strike me to be a lot like their old pocket watch faces. If you do find an authorized shop and get some info on it please fill us in. This is a cool piece.
