First of all sorry for making the topic, but maybe it will help other too down the road.
So i bought this (secondhand) S6 C7 avant that i will be getting in the near future, but will post more about that later :).
Yes, after 7 years owning an A4 B8 avant 2.0tdi multitronic (car still for sale) i finally going for my dream and getting a 4.0 Biturbo (already stage 2 @575hp-800nm).
Since i modded my previous car, the modbug already bite me and recently i scored a brand new R8 2016 model steering wheel at imho very good price on ebay.
Came super carefully packed by the way (kudos for the seller).
Guess some picture-porn:
It was sort of an impulse buy and i hadn't fully did my research (i also didn't expect the seller would except my bid).
Anyway, it came with this airbag
Maybe Alex (the king of steeringwheels/airbags) can jump in and tell me if this is single or dual stage and if this one will work in the S6 C7 11/2013 model (pre facelift) european car?
I'm affraid it won't but was prepared to take the risk...and sell airbag/source other airbag.
One way or the other, LOVING this wheel and still hope i will be able to mount and get it all to work properly in the car one day.
I've been told most of the buttons (the center ones) will work, except for the 'view' button (i suppose it is for switching screen modes on the dashdisplay of a MIB2 platform MMI)?
Hoping the drive select button will also work, same for the exhaust valve button.
The start/stop definatly won't work on the C7 but maybe i can tap into the wire and use it for something else (stinger VIP?)
Note the 'additional buttons' below the airbag are bolted on (addons).
There are at least 10 wires coming from the drive select and performance? buttons on the left (it has a printboard) going the the right printboard, exiting into a 3 wire to the main famous yellow plug.
If wanted i can dismantle the yellow plug and provide pin numbers so we maybe can trace back what buttons are pinned in what number.
Still will take some time before i actually can check the wheel out in my car, but hopefully untill then it is helpfull for others.
PS: did i mention i LOVE the steeringwheel :).
