How much CV noise is normal?

    Hi,

The street I live on is narrow, one way, and has parking on both sides so I can hear quite a lot when I'm on it. For a while now, I've been able to hear a speed dependent click that I expect is the CVs. It doesn't really sound bad and I don't notice anything while turning. It sounds a lot like a bicycle with those beads on the spokes that spin around when going slow. Because I can't hear it unless I'm next to something that reflects the sound I haven't worried too much. Should I be more worried or is this a normal thing with ball bearing CVs?

    Thanks

Normally they are completely quiet until the races become pitted.
