Over the weekend I created an order with ECS. I need quite a few parts as I'm in the middle of an engine rebuild plus other projects. So I had my item list and I entered the part numbers on a few different vendors sites and all the ones that were marked as cheaper through ECS because they were offering a sale or free shipping or whatever reason I added to my cart. I ended up purchasing these items:
$189.95 ECS rear differential mount
$100.61 RS4 parking brake handle
$41.64 mahle/behr thermostat
$19.39 coolant hose flange
$25.88 windagetra(some plastic piece behind the oil filter assembly)
Everything with free shipping.
So yesterday I login to check the status of my order cause it wasn't supposed to ship out until the 14th because of the windagetra but I got a notification that it already got assigned a fedex tracking number. I notice this new sale and the rear diff mount is now only $151.95. So I get online and start a web chat with them and Justin tells me that I'll need to call in during normal hours the following day to talk to customer service, but that they should be able to honor this new price. So I call in this morning and sure enough, no questions asked, I just explain that I just ordered on the weekend and yesterday the price already dropped by $38.03 and they generously gave it back to me in store credit.
So I always see ECS shipping bashing. I just wanted to post
experience with them and I will probably follow up using my store credit to obtain the timing belt kit that is now on sale as well.
