Anyone know what this could be

I am almost done with the immediate fixes on my new allroad but then I see this.(hopefully pics uploaded) does anyone know what the heck this is? I can't seem to see anything like this online. I haven't had time to try and trace this hose coming from it either but it it seems to run into the front bumper from what I could tell. Would this be cause for concern. I noticed it because I was wiping down the under side of the engine to see if any oil shows up since I just did the valve cover gaskets and cam plugs, so we'll see.

That's an oil pan heater. Do you live in a colder climate?

Oh awesome thought it was some patch for the oil pan. Yes I live in Edmonton AB Canada.
