    Transmission and/or clutch issue

So I recently had my 1-2 collar semi lock up on me and ever since then my clutch doesn't disengage fully. With the pedal to the floor and putting it in first I can feel the car moving forward, also reverse is hard to get into.

I'm planning on getting my trans rebuilt in the next couple weeks. Just want to know if there is something wrong with the clutch as well

Your clutch is toast. Your disc has more than likely come apart and is contacting the pressure plate or flywheel caused it to stay partially engaged all the time. You should replace it when you do the trans rebuild.

Damn I was hoping that wasn't the case. I just had the motor out and the clutch looked good. What usually causes the clutch to do that?

So I was doing some searching and found this thread http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...nd-Just-second

I'm hoping this is my issue and not actually a locked up transmission.

Thank you for that! Same exact problem I am having. I thought it was my flywheel or something. This is worth checking since I too may have only used about 15ftlbs on my pp bolts

Just thought I would update this. I got the engine and trans apart and found 3 pressure plate bolts loose, so that would explain the clutch issues. Dropping the trans off tomorrow to get it rebuilt.
My next question is would any of you run this clutch. It's a ringer racing stage 4 with about 20k on it. One side does have uneven wear from the inside edge to outside edge.

Id run that disk in a heartbeat. Stuff is super gnarly and wouldnt surprise me if it had 200k left in it. Pp and fw surfaces will prob wear faster than that disk will.
There are only 2 things needed to make an Audi work properly - Duct tape and WD40. If it moves and it shouldn't - Duct tape. If it doesn’t move and it should - WD40.
