    wire gauge required?

    installing Alpine PDX-5, its 75w x 4 and 300 to 5th channel. same power rating at 2 and 4 ohm. 2 30 amp fuses

    is 8 gauge power and ground wire thick enough or should i be running 4 gauge?

    this is a 2002 a4 avant, 20 feet should be long enough? anybody got any extra wire to spare?:)

    Looks like you would be better off with 4 gauge:

    I have some spare (I think 2, 4 and 8 gauge), but not 20 feet worth.

    Thanks, any suggestions of brands to use or stay away from for both power and rca cables?

    I like the KnuKonceptz power and RCA wires, just the KCA power cables and the Krystal RCA cables. Not too expensive, but nice quality.

    Great thanks, gets a little confusing reading positive and negative reviews on everything, Best Buy is local but $$$, crutch field is pricey too
