    Audi B5 2.8 engine swap for 2.7T

So it's time. I bought a 2.7T engine coming from a reliable source, however it came from an AT S4 B5.
I believe I have all my homework done, but I would like some more input from you guys who know about it and some of you already did this.
My 2000 2.8 is absolutely mint, it has the S4 side trim, side skirts, B6 S4 Avus 18", S4 seats. The one thing missing is the engine. My car is a MT and I will obviously keep it that way.

So to sum up, I got the engine completely stock with K03's, S4 fuel pump and complete exhaust with catalytic converters. I also got full stock S4 brakes.

By what I read, my transmission will bolt right onto the 2.7, and I will just keep my differential. The one thing I don't have is the S4 wiring harness, except the one it came with, the AT one, which I don't believe is compatible. My ECU can be re-programmed I believe...

Anyone can clarify if I'm missing something and also, if the wiring harness is compatible?

Any input will be apreciated! Thanks guys!

The auto harness is fine. Leave the plug for the auto trans off.

Find an S4 ECU. Don't bother trying to flash yours

Thanks for your input. Now I just need to know which ECU to get. I'm new to this engine. I have no intention of upgrading its power. I intend to run the engine completely stock.

That's what they all say. Lol

Look on the S4 wiki which is also conveniently a sticky. It's either on the main B5 S4 subforum or in the tech section. Most desirable ECU are M-boxs. Any one will work so long as the cluster is coded to work

Because I would have to change the diff, and it's not viable.
