Looks like the MMI is getting an update to support CarPlay/Android Auto.

I was hoping this would be the case. I'm going to place an order as soon as pricing is available.

What's with the 7HP bump for the "competition". Makes you wonder what they're doing to eek out the few extra ponies....

Probably a slightly less restrictive exhaust. Interesting that they come with the sport diff though.

I would hope its just an update to the programming since the new car still uses MMI not the new modular system in the A3/A4/Q7/TT.

The 2016 uses MIB-2, it just doesn't have the fancy virtual cockpit.

While I agreed that we all do foolish things but getting new car just for having some fancy features which has little to nothing to do with how the car drives is a bit much.

I like the competition trim version. Looks like it has the S seats and sport diff. It's about time Audi offered something like this that's between the A6 prestige and the S6. Personally, I like the 3.0t and have always wanted to try it with the sport diff and better seats.

Basically competition version is pretty much S6/7 with 3.0 Supercharged engine.

Why? The C7 was launched as a 2012 and the C7.5 as 2016. I wouldn't expect a C8 until MY2019 in 2018.

I could be totally wrong, but I thought Audi offered the Competition editions for the outgoing model. The A4, R8, TT had a Competition package then the next model was the new generation. I think the Q7 had something too but wasn't called Competition.

Looks like the only way now to get DRC in the new 2017's RS7s is by purchasing the RS7 Performance Edition. SO glad I got the DRC in my 2016.

Damn thats kind of disappointing. I appreciate the reply though. Are all interior colors offered at least? I'm wanting to go with a glacier white/nougat brown combo in an S7 but nougat brown isnt offered. Only cedar brown with a 4k audi exclusive interior. Thinking maybe I can go competition with glacier white/nougat brown or even change it up and go audi exclusive paint nardo grey with the nougat brown if its already offered.
