    Ak vs F/R Sways

Looking to upgrade a little suspension work this round. Already have a CR-15 installed. I've done the reading and both are DIY installs. Both are roughly the same cost with new bolts etc. Reviews are great on both. I know the Sways help with body roll and seems the AK Is a overall suspension/steering help. Can only do 1 this round and I'm struggling on which to order.

    Which one? Why?

Guess I should add, car is sports diff non ads. Won't track it and is a daily a driver. I like to open it up on occasion when I'm able. Springs at the cost for install I've been quoted I'd rather just get coilovers at a later date and save the labor $$ and do it once

Sways first for the body roll and they help with feeling like your car is more planted. You'll have a much better experience getting them first. They are more noticeable then the AK.

Sways for sure! But the install of the Sways is harder.

The Sways wont be as noticeable in terms of "feel" since you already have the CR15

Well that's pretty much what I needed. The body roll kills me. Just feels floaty. The reviews are great on the AK so I was having a hard time. Plus a AK won't take longer than an hour. Sways looking at the DIY even tho a ton of them have broken links doesn't seem bad. Figure a good 3 hours or so.

    Thanks gents

^ The front isn't bad, the rear you need to lower the exhaust.

Not sure how this makes sense. The sway bars control body roll. The cr15 stiffens the shock towers and does nothing for body roll. If anything, you're going to feel less lag between steering input and vehicle response with the cr15.

Sway bars and chassis stiffening address different areas of vehicle dynamics. Eliminating the body roll is going to be a very noticeable improvement in handling. Slightly improved dynamic response is something most drivers won't even notice.

Agree with 14s4 - sways will make a more noticeable improvement in handling than the AK.

Whatever you do, get the aftermarket end links with your sways. They make a bigger difference in and of themselves than you might think!

I read that they are noisy though

You can get ones that don't have the spherical bearings in them which is what I did. A lot cheaper too.

    Edit

Heres what I got for the front and Moog makes some for the rear.

I think this will be my next mod too. Coming from a GT-R the handeling on the S4 kills me. It feels like I'm on a boat even in Dynamic mode and I'm dropped on H&R sport springs. Any recommendation on brand?

I'd definitely do sway bars first, but recommend both upgrades.

Sway bars give a significant performance benefit by reducing body roll, while the Alu Kreuz is more for feel.

    Ak vs F/R Sways

I just installed the 034 rear sway with aftermarket end links and I can say it made a drastic improvement in handling. There is significantly less body roll, and the car handles much better / feels more responsive. As for added noise, I have not noticed anything yet, granted I have only driven about 300 miles since.

That's what I was going to ask: Do you do just the 034 rear sway or both front and rear?

I went with Eurocode, quite a few people use them and haven't had any issues.
