Dragged the allroad...

Yesterday I had a little fun with my allroad and took it down to the local drag strip’s 1st Test N Tune of the season. I dragged it with the following specs:

- APR stage 1 tune
- e85 fueling
- Treadstone TR8 intercooler
- 19” 255/35/19 summer setup.

Having completed 2 passes in 5 hrs (don’t get me started…), my quickest ET was 14.05sec @ 100.20mph without the use of launch control as the AR’s TC cannot be fully disabled. My ET is pretty slow as the 2.23 60ft didn’t help. However, the trapspeed @ 100 was quite acceptable for a 3900lbs wagon.



Buddies of mine with a stage 1 S4 and a maxed out NA 370z ran 13.2 @ 105 and 13.6 @ 106 respectively.

All in all, it was a pretty fun day.

Cool! Seems like if the R/T was a little quicker you'd be right in the mid 13s. Did the slow R/T have to do with lack of launch control on the AR or something more...human?

I didn't think RT counted towards the overall ET

After some googling I stand corrected

My second run, I tried left foot braking and right foot RPM build but the car started creeping forward. I'm guessing my foot was not all the way down on the brake. This resulted in a red light and didn't register an ET because the car "rolled" forward.

I'll be back to try runs on 91 octane to see how much trapspeed I lose. Irregardless, I am very confident with a great launch, the AR is well into the 13's. Hell, if the Pontiac G8 I lost to can run 13's and weight 4100lbs, I should be able too as well. LOL.
