New black S6- Forgot how bad it can be.

My normal rule of thumb is it takes 10 years between black cars to forgot how hard they are to keep clean. I had a black MINI JCW (Commute and track car) just 2
years ago. I thought it is small how hard can it be to keep clean? Horrible. It is like the S6. After you wash it water pours off the car for hours leaving streaks and runs
everywhere. I had Clear bra applied to all the wear areas of my new S6. Full fenders, rockers, whole hood. behind the wheels, mirrors, head lights and trunk lip. I ran 1400
miles in less then 18 hrs a few days ago. The front end was very bug splattered and just a little dust after the long hard trip. Ok bath time and get to know your car and its
paint time. She is big and taller than it looks. She cleaned up very nice. I found one little nick on the clear-bra on the hood that shows up almost like a light rock chip. I thought the
whole purpose of the bra is to prevent this from happening! The S6 has that same honeycomb plastic trim that my MINI had. I had this stuff. I looks good on the car but they just hold
water and dirt. After washing the window frames, mirrors and the HC drip for a long time. I let the car sit for over an hour continually wiping the dripping water until I thought it was done.
I have nephew visiting so I decided to take him for a short spin. We went a total of about 4 miles. I will admit there is ton of pollen on the ground. It rained the other day a little and I had to shovel
the pollen puddles off the low spots in my drive way. After returning after 5 minutes the car was absolutely filthy! Water poured out and collected the flying pollen making it look like mud streaks
on the rocker and below the mirrors. Pollen coated the entire rear of the car and she looked like I had run the Baja 500! My mouth just dropped open like WTF! I think I fucked up. What was a thinking
getting another black car and a big one to boot? I took my Griots Speed Shine and wiped her all down again quickly. Back to looking good but now I am wondering if I made a mistake. Clean nothing
looks better than black. I use to say for all of 10 minutes. Now I know it is really just 2 minutes.

For you experts out there in Clear-Bra. I have a couple of spots on right on the corner of the hood new the wind screen where the film is cloudy, dull and looks like it was stretched too much or had a defect.
If it were anywhere else I could live with it. I am assuming that the whole hood would need to be redone to make it right? Any small repairs possible? I am 1400 miles now fro the installer and will not be back down
for at least 6 months. The truck lip also has some small white spots and should be redone also but that one is easy. I figured I would take a few good pics and mail them to the installer and we can deal with it when I
get make down next season. I bought the car had it tinted and clear bra and drove it north. This is first time I got to wash the car and really look at the paint closely. The paint on the car is excellent and I could find no
    imperfections. Very impressive.

Not sure how long it's been since the bra was installed but if it's very recent I've heard it can take a few days for the bra to "settle". Don't know if it applies to the stretching you're seeing as that may just be a defect of overworking the product. The point of the bra is to protect you from things like chips - so you should actually expect to see defects in the bra over time as you accumulate damage. The bra is not 100% self healing.

You might want to invest in something like a leaf blower or the master blaster blow dryer. This will allow you to really get into the nooks and crannies and get the car dried out before driving it again. Other than not rolling down my windows my car is almost completely dry after I'm through with it - I use a master blaster.

I would suggest using a blower or a shop vac in reverse, etc. to get the water our of the front grill and trim along the sides. Works perfectly on my black S.

Bra wise, contact the installer and perhaps the manufacturer. They might cover some assistance with someone more local to you. I know my installer wouldn't hesitate to assist me even 6 mos or a year later. They have actually.
