Kevin's Monsoon Gray B9 Build

Hey guys welcome to my build thread!

Just picked the car up two weeks ago but I had dislocated my knee so today was my first day actually driving the car and much improvement over the B8.5.

The car is a 2017 FWD premium. I didn't go for the virtual cockpit because the car supports apple car play and I can use my google maps straight from there so need to spend the extra money.
Apple car play is one of my favorite things about the car!
I HATE how high this car is! Thing looks like a 4x4


Mods Planned
1. Springs or KW HAS
2. Custom exhaust with an X-Pipe and magnaflow mufflers
3. Haven't decided on wheels hope a vendor on here will throw a sponsorship my way ;)
4. Tune as soon as APR comes out with one
5. RS4 honeycomb grille from USPmotorsport

I'm also glad they removed the amber from the headlight casing. Now it's so much easier to cover it up or even remove it.

Limited inventory all the S lines came with the virtual cockpit and I didn't really need that so non s line will do haha. I'll just have to wait til H&R comes out with some springs

Agreed! I couldn't imagine if Mops owned a B9 he'd kill the game yet again.

The B9 comes standard with Apple CarPlay (and whatever the Android equivalent is called). The base model is really pretty bare though. No heated seats, no Audi Advanced Key. I doubt there are many on the lots equipped (unequipped?) completely bare.

The Premium (base) is typically equipped with convenience package and 18" wheel upgrades bringing the price near $43k. The first batches the dealers received could not be modified, at least here in the Midwest. They included extras like all season floor mats and $120 USB cables and you could not remove them according to several dealers. I was able to build a Premium Plus for slightly more and removed the options I wouldn't select or are simply included in the Premium Plus pack.

I ordered a Premium Plus Mythos Black ($43,200 + $575) + Sport ($750) + Heated rear seats/steering wheel ($500). The dealer gave me $3k off MSRP + EDIT: No Audi incentive of $1k off since my wife has a BMW. Only on the 16s. They made up for the error by offering 500 more off.

That sounds about right. I was told it's approximately $500 under invoice. I haven't technically bought it yet, so they can always pull a fast one on me. I put a $2k deposit to place the order.

The $4k total off was the reason I stopped shopping for B8.5 S4s and chose the A4.

Had some free time today so I did everyone's favorite "mod" plasti dip . I did the emblems, wheels, grill, orange Amber, lower light. I need to touch up the wheels a bit but it turned out good.

Someone please release some springs soon I can't stand to look at this horrendous wheel gap

You may have already done this, but you may want to check and make sure that the shipping blocks have been removed from the springs. They forgot to take mine out and it was sitting crazy high. I didn't realize it until I swapped out my tires the day after I bought it!

When they were detailing the car for the delivery they said they were taken out but I'm gonna go stop by the dealer today to double check about the shipping blocks. Cause this thing is a jeep right now hahaha

Lol....true true... seriously a car this large needs quattro...😆I realize Florida.... but there is a reason why s4s are not FWD....... otherwise it's like a Buick... tho he does have dsg... as opposed to the famous cvt!!!!

Went to get the wheels installed today but they didn't clear the calipers so I ordered some 10mm spacers in front and 15mm in the rear. Shoutout to Matt from ECS Tuning for helping me out!
