    Coolant leak, naybe

I feel like I loose some coolant on the RS. Must be minor if so because no smell, nothing under car, oil is clean and clean exhaust output. I did install a new reservoir with a Porsche cap which is slightly loose but seems to get seated when fluid/air warms up. It drops about 1/3 court every 2-3 months. Any known issues with this? Thanks guys! Also, would typically get under it right away but dealing with a potential back surgery so trying to limit my time under car. So, will likely need to take it in but curious first what you guys experienced.[/QUOTE]

First thing is really to look under the motor for white/pinkish spots. The belly pan does a good job of making you think the car doesn't leak anything until it's bad enough. That small of a leak could be lots of things honestly...

Ok thanks, guess I might go back to the ugly lid again... And see if it stops/slows down, and check it out more during the next oil change.

So - fixed. Porsche cap fine. Slight leak from return T-hose and lower radiator hose, so both new/replaced. Perfect now my buddy at NTX Premier auto in Plano/Dallas hooked me up as always. And I keep telling him that he does not charge me enough. Clutch likely coming up within the year for this one and my Bmw and I know where to take it.

You're lucky to have a good local mechanic that doesn't charge something close to $100/hr while still fucking up your car.
