Does my stock Bose amp have a line-in?

    Hi again,

Ive seen the pin outs here yet still a little confused.. Im looking to do something special for a radio unit in B5 and want to keep the Bose speakers and amp but need a line-in from the unit to the amp. Does the Bose amp have one? Or just a wire for me to tap in.. Any advice is always appreciated!👍

I appreciate the links but what Im actually looking for is the pin out for the line in or actual line in port (if there is one).

When i uncorked my bose setup to replace the subwoofer, i've noted there was a device sitting on top of my CD-changer that has 3 inputs (Video & Audio in composite way (V/L/R). When attached, i can put any sort of video input in there such as parking sensors, DVD player or even a Playstation 2 if i wanted to.

I've deleted that device tho (for now) but it works with a RNS-D stock. I think the type number for that thing is 4D0919146 and should attach out of the box on the RNS-D.

    It looks like this actually:

I'm later retaching that thing on, because the idea of either parking sensor or some sort of PS2 sounds attractive. When put on AUX, it can be used.

Awesome thanks! But will this device work with my B5 Bose amp?

    Uh yes.

I believe the Bose amp is attached to your RNS seperatly, and this device is attached on it's own to your RNS.

If you unplug it, the option for AUX / TV will completely dissapear on the RNS-D. If you attach it, well you have a new option :)

If you look closely at this picture:

This is the Bose amp + sub-amp, it all is connected on the brown connector on top which leads to the RNS-D and not the TV-Tuner module for example.
