Anyone have any bad issues with Enlaes quality? I ordered the carbon fiber rear diffuser and trunk lid from ECS Tuning. Diffuser came and I noticed some areas (near the exhaust cutouts mainly) where the clear coat over the carbon fiber looked cloudy/hazy. I was a bit disappointed considering it's not cheap. Now on the good side.....ECS Tuning has AMAZING customer service and I already sent it back for a replacement. Fingers crossed the new piece doesn't have any issues. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced quality issues with Enlaes.

I just ordered the trunk lid from Vivid. Still waiting. It's like 3 weeks now. How'd your trunk lid turn out?

Love mine. No issues and quality is good. The look is well worth the price tag in my opinion. Only problem is that with it on I no longer go for occasional quick washes in drive through car washes because I'm afraid it's going to be ripped off. But I'm sure all off you guys don't use car washes. :)

i was deifnately disappointed as well when my Enlaes deckled arrived. i immediately notices areas of haziness and cloudiness as the OP described. the corners were sloppy and there were minor flaws with it but overall it looked nice if/when not looking at it tooooo closely. so i still installed it. Then, idk if it was an install mishap or poor quality/curvature of the actual deckled but the right corner has not separated from the trunk.... could be the mounting process, the 3m tape that was used (not strong enough), but i will likely remove it now
i almost feel like when i remove it ill be pleased with the OEM trunk flare and might even not want to put it back on. although it does look pretty damn sweet ...idk
also, its not very flush at all with where it joins with the trunk..

    Enlaes Quality

I needed my Enlaes trunk spoiler replaced twice but the third one has been great. I did 4 layers of ceramic pro on it and 1 year later still looks perfect.

But on the plus side they were great about replacing it both times.

yea, it seems they are good with replacing. But clearly something is wrong if it need to be replaced more than once, and so commonly amongst the people who purchased them. There are many posts and threads on here talking about the wait time for Enlaes products and the poor communication with them in terms of updates. It seems people are waiting for a lifetime to get their hands on the spoilers and diffusers they have ordered.
I happened to call Supremepower on the day that someone decided they didn't like the 2x2 pattern on the CF and wanted another one made in 1x1...lol, so i was able to snatch the one that was made for him and which he so patiently waited for... lol

I jus got mine and had a cloudy spot near the right edge. Also the spoiler did not fit my 8,5 so I shipped it back to ECS were I bought it.

I'm days away from shipping mine back to ECS too. I'm giving Enlaes the chance to just replace this as I live near them...but getting them to respond and follow through has been extremely hard.

I'm disappointed with the quality of Enlaes products. I first ordered the trunk spoiler. It was delivered with the corner of the spoiler chipped from shipping. But I still installed it cause it didn't bother me enough. The finish wasn't even that good. On my other car, I had a four year old Seibon carbon fiber hood that was cheaper than the Enlaes decklid and it looked better. Then I decided to buy the diffuser cause of the design. The finish was hazy/cloudy, the carbon weave was cracked but not the clear in two areas, and it didn't fit flush. Had to hack it up to fit. Not the quality I'd expect for the price.

Sucks to see all these Enlaes issues. I was really ready to pull the trigger on the diffuser because I love the look so much but now I'm hesitant in purchasing. I wish there was a diffuser made that was between the Enlaes very aggressive style and the Deval's lesser aggresive style. The price for Enlaes would lead you to believe its nothing more then a perfect product. At least should be, there shouldnt be these problems.

I'm not convinced that fitment is built for B8.5s...their model car is a B8 with B8.5 front end conversion.

    Also mine fits like crap.

I have the diffuser and it fits great. They make one for the B8 and the B8.5 I agree with the birdman that the issue with the spoilers that it was made to fit the B8 and there is a slight difference I think in the curvature of the trunk on the 8.5. ECS is replacing mine but I fully anticipate that I will be returning that one too. If the next one is not perfect I plan on returning it and moving on to another mod, perhaps the P3 gauge or some slotted rotors.

STILL can't get ahold of Enlaes. It's been over 2 months since I ordered my diffuser. Phone, email, message form on their website. I leave messages and NEVER get a call or message back. Seriously.....are they still in business? ECS keeps pushing my order back every week and they have no answers beyond that. The level of customer service is beyond horrible. Does anyone know what the hell is going on with them?

I just cancelled my order for the diffuser and I'm returning the spoiler due to very poor fitment. I wanted to keep this stuff but nobody.....even Enlaes was willing to help me out. I'm trying hard to give people money but they don't seem to want it. I don't get it. Good luck to any of you who try to order this stuff.

    Enlaes Quality

Agree with all you guys! Enlaes stuff is extremely poorly made. Fitment is crap. My decklid spoiler will never flush. One side will always be popping up. I also just bought the diffuser FRP version recently from ViVid Racing. No way was I gonna pay so much for the carbon version after hearing all the horror stories here. But guess what? FRP is equally bad. I know it's FRP and I shouldn't be expecting a polished finish but I wasn't expecting cracks and bad moulding. See the pictures attached. Vivid Racing and Enlaes has not been helpful and they are claiming it was the shipping company's fault. Classic pushing the blame. I have a feeling I received someone's shifty return. They're just pushing faulty products around. Be warned. Shame on you Vivid and Enlaes. I have evidence that the box is intact and in perfect condition. So the problem originated from Enlaes. Vivid has still not responded to my emails. I have a feeling I'm stuck with this piece of crap I'll just have to put more money into it and get a shop to patch it, sand it, fix it, etc. You guys are warned.

I found out that another BIG vendor here in southern CA stopped selling their products as of last week as I called to see if they had any in stock since they had them listed on their website. He informed me that, "All the Enlaes products on our website are being deleted this week". I asked why they were not selling their product anymore and he "wasn't sure". Something is definitely up as this is now the 4th vendor I've heard of that has either discontinued selling their products or like others have mentioned it seems like they are just shipping these out and customers are returning them when they see the shitty quality then my GUESS is the vendors are just shuffling them around and sending them back out trying to get someone to keep it. I think they do make the best looking (despite the quality) aero bits for our cars but I've been 0% satisfied with the quality of the product, the fit of the product and the customer service. I'd rather call Time Warner and deal with them. I really wish this wasn't the case as I really did want their product and went out of my way MANY MANY times to find a way to get this stuff fixed but I just got tired of all the BS excuses and lack of followup. Maybe someday they'll get there act together or some other company will produce something worthwhile.

I have the carbon rear diffuser on my car. I bought it brand new off a guy. And in the resin there is milking. And from it just being mounted on the car, the resin has cracked on certain corners. I didn't pry on it or anything, just installed it and looked a couple weeks later and stress cracks appeared. Luckily I got it for cheap, and am thinking about taking it to a body shop to have it refinished.
