Possible to cut down a coilover?

I need to know if it's possible to cut a small amount off the rear coils. It's from a set of KW V1's for a 2013 S4. At max drop they sit higher then the fronts and the stance is thrown off. Car is sitting on 20" Vossen wheels.

Cutting will probably ruin ride quality. Why not raise the front a little?

Love how it sits on the back... Lil too low on the front IMO

have you had them on long? kw/st springs settle quite a bit. My rears are maxed out to the top with a spacer and my tire is right at the lip. I wonder if they have the avant springs in the kits now. Id trade you springs, mine can dump super far. also did your car have ADS? if so did you forget to take the spacer out? that would add height to the rear.

Take a look at the rear springs...if there are "dead coils" you might be able to cut 1/2 a coil off with no ill effects. Just make sure there is still tension on the spring, otherwise you'll complete un-seat the spring. If it were me, I'd raise the front ever so slightly and call it a day. Your car looks clean and aggressive at its current height (raise the front slightly). Just my .02.

Gorgeous color, raise the front as others suggested. Never ever ever cut springs. They were engineered like that for a reason.

Full Reiger carbon fiber kit. The skirts were installed not so well and some of the black sealant is showing. So they'll be replaced and these ones will be up for sale if interested. Cost $600 and will sell them for $200.

I agree. Just raise the front up a little bit. Seems a little too low and is throwing off the look for me. The car looks great though! I like that bumper.

Edit: and please get ecodes or at least ditch that orange reflector. :)

It does look like fun lol

In all seriousness though , I think KW sells shorter spacers or you can find a thin rubber spacer

My friend had asked me the question cause it was really bugging him so that's why I posted it here. Anyways, he ended up buying air ride suspension instead.

Don't cut them. You will hate yourself for doing it. The Stance is fine. a little rake never hurts anyone. I think it looks good like that. Most cars are like that on purpose. Just raise the front a little. Or if your that upset with it. Just put air ride on it and you can make it do whatever you want whenever you want.
